Safety Surfacing: Poured In Place

Poured in place surfacing is our most widely-used premium surfacing product. With fall height protection through 12’, it is capable of use under even the largest of structures. This is a 2-part system consisting of an impact-absorbing layer capped by a wear layer. The wear layer is made up of EPDM or TPV rubber granules, and both layers are primarily recycled material, making this type of surfacing a responsible choice.

Additionally, the typical 50/50 standard color/black mix can be modified to include designs and non-standard colors, giving a creative flexibility not present with other surfacing options.

Pros:

  • Porous

  • Slip-resistant

  • Seamless/Accessible

  • Freeze/Thaw resistant

  • Durable

  • Reduced maintenance cost

Cons:

  • Higher cost per square foot

  • More complex repair procedure
